Frequently asked questions

How much does health insurance cost for an individual or family?+
Costs vary by age, income, state, plan type, and whether you qualify for ACA subsidies. Someone who qualifies for premium tax credits may pay very little per month, while unsubsidized individual plans typically run higher. I run exact quotes for your situation at no cost.
Does Younified Health Advisory charge for its services?+
No. As a licensed independent brokerage, I'm paid by the insurance carrier, not by you. Consultations, plan comparisons, enrollment help, and year-round service are all included at no cost. Your premium is the same whether you work with me or enroll directly.
When is ACA Open Enrollment?+
For most states, Open Enrollment runs November 1 through January 15. To have coverage begin January 1, you generally need to enroll by December 15. A qualifying life event — losing coverage, moving, marriage, or a new baby — can open a Special Enrollment Period outside that window.
Can I keep my current doctor?+
In most cases, yes. Before recommending anything, I verify that the doctors and hospitals you care about are in the plan's network, so you're not forced to switch providers unexpectedly.
What's the difference between an HMO and a PPO?+
An HMO usually costs less but requires you to stay in-network and get referrals to see specialists. A PPO offers more flexibility to see providers without referrals and often includes out-of-network coverage, usually at a higher premium. I'll help you weigh the trade-offs for your needs.
